A stalwart of the youth football club has been chosen as this year's recipient of Falmouth Spirit of the Sea award.
Arno Canale of Falmouth Community Youth Football Club was presented with award by Falmouth mayor, Cllr Kirstie Edwards.
A certificate and ceremonial flag was presented to Arno in recognition of his dedication to the young people of Falmouth.
Paying tribute, the Mayor thanked Arno for his vision and dedication to the young people of Falmouth and the surrounding areas by starting a youth football club that has provided over 300 young people to date with the opportunity to access a sport for free.
Since setting up Falmouth Community Youth Football Club in 2016 Arno has overseen a growth in membership to over 300 young people from ages 5 to 16, supported by an army of dedicated volunteers.
The award, now in its 10th year, was presented to Arno in front of a crowd of approximately 150 players, supporters and volunteers at Falmouth Football Club on Saturday morning including Arno's son Robbie and his Grandson Kit.
"Congratulations and thank you to Arno and everyone at Falmouth Community Football Club," said Falmouth Town Council.
