GREEN Peacefully on Saturday 1st April 2017 at Treliske Hospital, Doris aged 97 years of Falmouth. A Celebration of her life will take place at 12 noon on Saturday 22nd April 2017 at Treswithian Downs Crematorium, Camborne. Family flowers only but donations may be made, if desired, to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust c/o T. Cooke, Funeral Directors, 4 Quarry Hill, Falmouth, TR11 2BP

My aunt Doris, my father's sister, was my last surviving relative from that generation. She was a hugely talented artist and a wonderful example to all in the way she aged gracefully, maintaining close ties with her large family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Like my father, she had great affection for her adopted county and warm memories of the Lizard in particular. For some years I visited her in the spring and autumn to enjoy her lively conversation. Though she had a long and fulfilled life her death is still a bereavement and I know I shall continue to miss her.
