Hi nana, I love and miss you so much, there isn’t a day that passes where I don’t think of you. I remember your gorgeous smile and how you would make the best out of everything. You had such a kind soul and not a bad bone in your body. I want to be just like you when I grow old. I can’t believe it’s been 3 years, and I hope your reading this right now on the other side. There is so many things that I want to ask you! I love you with all my heart, and I will never EVER forget you. See you soon. Sienna and Brooke (granddaughters.)

So dreadfully sad to hear of Julie’s passing. We were great friends at school and spent lots of time together in Falmouth. We were even planning to tour Europe but that didn’t happen and then one day we bumped into each other on the train and her baby Jon! One thing that continually made us laugh was when Julie would recount the time we attended Saturday pictures together and I got up on stage and danced like a ballerina to a rock song. I think Gary Glitter but sadly my memory is not as great as Julie’s. Her children were her life and I know how proud she was of their achievements. I will remember with great fondness the time we spent at school competing in the athletics, my time with her Mum, Dad and brother Andrew, and the fact I managed to get to ride my pony. Regrettably we didn’t meet up and only had fleeting exchanges on the bus! but she was always on my new year text messages. Her warm smile and happy disposition will be forever in my heart. Rest in peace. Katrina (nee Downing)
