The day-long event was held at the London Mara-thon Fields, just off Shooters Hill Road, when 100 local boys teams and eight girl sides took part.

The tournament, organsied by Sally Dolan, was divided into five age sections from under seven-11 with 20 teams in each of the boy's groups and two for the girls.

Wilson, the ex-Arsenal goalkeeper, and his wife Megs founded the Willow Foundation two years ago after their daughter Anna died from cancer.

Steve McElhill, whose son Lewis had the thrill of taking a penalty against Wilson, said: “It was a great day and everyone enjoyed themselves.”
