Clothing company Seasalt will be supporting the Fishermen’s Mission through the sale of its Christmas cards this year.

The company, which has its head office in Falmouth, launched a competition to find five designs to create into cards that will be sold in its 13 shops across the South West as well as online.

More than 300 people, aged between two and 60, got involved and the winning designs cover the length of the country from Leeds to Redruth, where Claire Hocking was a winner. Each of the winning artists will receive a £50 Seasalt voucher.

The cards were judged by Gina Moore from the Fishermen’s Mission, Jane Chetwynd from University College Falmouth and one of Seasalt women’s wear designers Rebecca Rudman.

The Fishermen’s Mission was chosen as the charity to benefit, as it provides emergency support to fishermen and their families around the country’s coastlines 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days of the year Working alongside local printers, Nationwide Print, the cards will be priced at £3.50 for a pack of five and will go on sale from early November.
