HD bidexhibition with pic AN exhibition celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of businesses in Falmouth through the characters and personalities of those that run them, opens at The Poly next week.

A series of photographs by Hugh Hastings has been commissioned by the Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) and will be on display at The Poly for two weeks from Monday (21st).

Richard Wilcox, Falmouth BID manager, said: “The BID continues to do all it can in such a challenging climate to promote and support our businesses and this is another strand of our Shop Local, Think Falmouth campaign.

“We have such a diverse and interesting range of businesses and enterprises in Falmouth that it makes sense to visually tell the story of the people and personalities behind them. Following on from The Poly, we hope to take this exhibition further afield later this year.”

Falmouth-based photographer, Hugh, who has lived in the town for 18 years, said: “The shopping streets of Falmouth are one of the main reasons I chose to live here. The Falmouth shops and the people who work in them create a great atmosphere; they are the heart of the town in many ways.

“Working with the Falmouth BID to promote the great things we have here has been a real pleasure and I look forward to developing the project further in the coming months.”

Jamie Sibert, managing director of 20/20, added: “20/20 is delighted to support this fantastic BID initiative. Not only does the exhibition showcase the diversity of businesses in Falmouth, it shows their positive thinking as a community in challenging times.”
