Helston-based child’s clothing company Frugi is to begin selling in John Lewis.
The spring 2013 collection will be sold in 13 stores as well as online at johnlewis.com.
Joint founder Kurt Jewson said: “Everyone at Frugi is very excited about the brand going into John Lewis. What John Lewis stand for in terms of customer care, ethics and brand loyalty are crucial to any partnership we engage in.”
Jackie Zorn, baby-wear buyer for John Lewis, said: “Frugi will definitely appeal to the John Lewis customer. The designs are very exciting and the fabric is a lovely 100 per cent organic cotton. We are very pleased to be working with this brand.”
Husband and wife team Kurt and Lucy Jewson started Frugi in their spare room on the Lizard Peninsula in 2004, inspired by the birth of their first son.
Since then the business has grown to producing clothes for children aged from birth to eight years old, with a head office at Wheal Vrose Business Park.
Next month sees Frugi expand its ranges to include washable nappies, while from next year clothes will be available for children up to the age of ten.
