Trebah Gardens, at Mawnan Smith, has recently seconded two new members to its Council of Management .

Pictured above with Trebah Trust's long standing chairman Robert Dudley-Cooke, is on the left Charles Richardson and to the right Tim Hubbard.

Charles, who lives locally, is a Life Member of Trebah and a long standing supporter of the garden and brings further valuable business expertise to the Board . Much of his career was spent at private equity and investment company 3i Group PLC.

Tim will be very well known to many, not least through his career in broadcasting, notably with BBC Radio Cornwall. He is also a writer and is a keen supporter of the creative arts throughout the county.

Speaking of his involvement at Trebah, Tim said:" For many years I have visited Trebah both privately and professionally. I am delighted and consider it a privilege to be now asked to play a part in shaping its future."

Nigel Burnett, Trebah's Director, expressed his full support for the new council members, who he says join at an exciting time for the garden with new projects underway, notable the construction of a new amphitheatre in the garden, and following a very good year in 2012, Trebah's most successful year for more than a decade in terms of its financial results..
