A Bissoe-based ground source heat pump manufacturer has been shortlisted for three awards in the heating and ventilation industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.

The triple award nomination for Kensa Engineering in the H&V News Awards has been described by company director Simon Lomax as a great “distinction”.

He said: “Kensa is delighted to have been shortlisted in three categories. Given the high profile nature of these awards only the very best entries attain this accolade, and it is very rewarding to achieve such distinction for our efforts.”

The awards Kensa has been shortlisted for are: Domestic H&V Product of the Year, in recognition of their Shoebox Heat Pump; Renewable Project of the Year, for their social housing communal ground array in association with New Linx Housing.

The company is also in the running for the ‘Retrofit Project of the Year’, for the 200 ground source heat pumps installed at a sheltered housing estate in Somerset. The winners will be announced on the April 25 in London, at a ceremony featuring more than 1,000 of the industry’s leading names.
