More than 80 guests packed into Penryn-based Peloton's new offices to mark the company's official launch in their newly converted warehouse, which underwent a three month renovation using local craftsmen and materials to produce a beautiful and inspiring working environment.

Peloton chief executive Mike Hutchinson said: “It was really important to us that our clients, business partners and friends had the chance to see the environment we’ve created.

“The stereotypical image of accountants is that of men in pin-striped suits sitting in uninspiring offices surrounded by paper and files. Peloton isn’t like that. We have tried to create an environment which reflects the synergies between accountancy and our new marketing sector, lead by Peloton Chairman Jonathan Fine, to give an altogether new offering to small and medium sized businesses.

“Marking the completion of the office, which we all think is fabulous, with a party where people could come and see for themselves where and how we work felt like the right thing to do. It was great so many people came along and flattering that they loved the space too. ”

Guests packed into the ground floor office on 5 April and enjoyed traditional Cornish fare, including homemade Pasties, locally-sourced mackerel canapés, a selection of finest local farm cheeses and miniature cream teas, all served in the kitchen area where – as their Facebook page shows - the whole Peloton team gather daily for their lunch.

Guest Bonnie Mockett of Law Systems: “Super to see so many people there all bubbling over with excitement on how amazing the office space looks, something that is so special & personal.

“But it’s not just the technology, the stunning artwork, or the unique library space... it’s like most things - the people make it. The team were brilliant on Friday, and the best of all was catching a snippet of conversation where I heard ‘I just love it here, I really do’. The energy was infectious!”
