A crowdfunding campaign to raise £15,000 for a brand new destination website for Cornwall has reached its target.

We Are Cornwall is being developed by the Sue Bradbury PR team and is aimed at the regional, national and international visitor markets. As well as showcasing places to stay, things to do, sites to see, food and drink and events, Cornish creations will also be profiled.

The video that accompanied the campaign has had more than 1,600 views on You Tube and project backers include the Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth, Spiezia Organics, Trewithen Gardens, Restronguet Barton Cottages and Gylly Beach Cafe.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have won such widespread support,” said Sue, who, as well as running a PR and marketing agency, has spent many years as an occasional travel and feature writer for a wide range of publications.

"Cornwall has a tremendous amount to offer, not just to tourists north of the Tamar but to people living in the county too. We are creating a site that will showcase some of its many businesses with stunning images, videos, well-written copy and handy tips and advice. It will also be interactive – encouraging users to share positive feedback.

“Having worked with many large and small businesses in the county over the past 15 years, we have a good deal of experience in both online and offline communication. As a team, we’ll be using all that expertise to ensure We Are Cornwall reaches its audience and delivers significant marketing benefits. The site is currently being built and will be officially launched in the first week of March.”
