Peter and Cheryl Risely, owners of the Penmorvah Manor Hotel in Falmouth are celebrating an anniversary milestone having officially been welcoming guest’s since 1988.

To commemorate the event Risely's 27 years at the hotel, the Penmorvah team commissioned a new Sundeck, which offers guests views across the valley to the sea beyond.

It is not only Cheryl and Peter celebrating an anniversary, however, as the hotel's general manager, Neil Slade, has also notched up 25 years of working in the hospitality industry.

He said: "Celebrating 25 years of service marks a key milestone in my career and I am delighted to celebrate it alongside Peter and Cheryl. It has been a privilege to join the Penmorvah family and to have jointly been involved with the owners in further developing the hotel and all that it offers to visitors.

"This year has proved to be an exciting year thus far and we look forward to welcoming friends and new comers alike to enjoy our beautiful new sundeck and wonderful woodland gardens."

Peter and Cheryl added: Our double celebration culminated with a formal launch for friends and guests. Councillor Geoffrey Evans officially opened our new sundeck, thereafter we all enjoyed an afternoon of jazz, fizz, cakes and treats with wonderful weather and terrific company. Our grateful thanks go to all of our friends who have supported us over the years."

Since opening, the Penmorvah Manor has played host to numerous high-profile parties and events, wedding receptions and family celebrations.
