Penryn-based Waterside Skincare scooped a third prize at the annual Salon of the Year awards which were held at the Savoy Hotel in London and hosted by Katie Piper.

The awards are hosted by International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa) and saw the company’s most successful UK and Irish stockists of the past year picked up their trophies and certificates after being treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea.

Local skincare and beauty salon, Waterside Skincare scooped third place in the national salon of the year awards for a second consecutive year, this time in the Jane Iredale mineral make-up category, and last year in the Environ skincare category (for salons with two rooms and less).

Salon owner Debbie Gallagher said: “It’s just an incredible reward and we are proud to be the only salon in Cornwall to be finalists. We are all very enthusiastic about the products and we use the iiaa’s skin analysis and make-up events to allow new and existing clients to try the mineral make-up and learn more about their skin.”

Waterside Skincare offer a wide range of skincare, beauty and aesthetic treatments from their picturesque location in Waterside House, Penryn overlooking the Penryn River.
