Beauty therapist, Megan Steele, has joined the team at The Falmouth Hotel in order to develop and enhance its leisure offering. Heading the Spa @ The Falmouth Hotel, one of Megan’s first tasks was to implement the new Elemis product range.

Born in Rugby but having moved to Cornwall when she was five, Megan feels her roots are entrenched in the South West and since embarking on her beauty therapy career, she has established a strong and loyal clientele.

Having taken part in the WorldSkills UK Skills Competitions when training at Truro College, Megan won through to the regionals and then scooped gold at the nationals. She would have taken her talents to a global stage had the option to take on the beauty salon at Penryn’s Re-Shape not presented itself… an opportunity too good miss.

Megan joined the hotel two months ago and has undergone specialist Elemis training to complete her expertise.

“I’m delighted to be at The Falmouth Hotel,” she said. "Although leisure and spa always had a role to play here, the commitment to enhancing the offering is an exciting one, and I’m glad to be the one taking it forward, especially at a time when so many other places in the area are closing.”

Sarah Prankerd, head of sales and marketing for the Richardson Hotel Group, said: “Megan’s a real steal and we’re thrilled to have her working with us. The leisure and spa facilities at the Falmouth Hotel are excellent but it’s our intention to strengthen them further.”
