Simon Finemore has recently opened a new chiropractic practice at Falmouth Marina on North Parade which he claims has a different approach to the traditional chiropractic/osteopathy/physio practice.

"I didn’t think the typical pseudo-medical environment and approach reflected the philosophy and history of Chiropractic," he said. "It was also an environment that I wasn’t happy working in. I developed the idea of LivingRoom as a space that you would actually want to visit and spend time in.

"The surroundings of the marina were beautiful and representative of the typical Falmouth environment. Internally the space has been decorated very much like a living room and allows your visit to the chiropractor to be comfortable, relaxing but also inspiring. For example the lighting is designed to emit a light spectrum free of blue light (tends to stress/stimulate the brain) which should help to make you feel more relaxed and calm."

Simon added: "Chiropractic is a hands on technique that was developed to encourage the body’s innate healing properties by stimulating normal nervous system responses. I thought it was therefore appropriate that you should visit your Chiropractor in a non-stressful space which also encourages natural healing."

As a tribute to the selfless work of RNLI lifeboat staff and crew, Simon operates a 25 per cent discount for them. "I was always impressed as a child by my uncle dropping everything to answer the call," he said.
