A firm of chartered accountants has unveiled its new offices in Falmouth at a special party following a four-month renovation project.

Around 70 clients, associates and friends attended the official opening of Lang Bennetts’ new home in Bickland Water Road. The company, which also has offices in Truro, moved to the former JK Milne site from Greenbank Quay.

Becky Thomas, Lang Bennetts’ Falmouth manager, said: “We were very pleased to welcome so many friends, clients and associates to the opening of our Bickland House offices. The move will allow us to grow our client base and offering in Falmouth, and we now have the added bonus of parking and visible road presence.”

Following the move the Falmouth office has doubled staff numbers from three to six, with particular growth in the payroll department, and is looking to introduce another team member in November.

The move also comes as the firm celebrates its 75th anniversary. Colin Truscott, Lang Bennetts’ partner, who oversaw the project, said: “We worked closely with contractors Gloweth and Lavis Electrical to ensure the extensive renovations gave us a space that was suitable for now and future growth. There has been a real emphasis on modernising the space to make it open plan and light. It’s great to see it all come together, especially work on the building was still going on just a few days before the party.”
