Children at St Francis Church in Falmouth became published authors when their school took part in the global literacy initiative, Pobble.com.
Pobble’s mission is to create a more literate world by giving teachers a means to inspire young writers and providing children with a global audience for their work. By showcasing school work on a worldwide classroom wall, Pobble.com is boosting imaginations and giving children a real purpose to write and be creative.
Children and teachers at St Francis hosted their own Pobble Day, when members of Pobble’s literacy team joined staff for a fun packed day of creative writing, before teachers pressed the button to share the children’s work with the world.
Speaking at their Pobble Day, head teacher Vanessa Farnell said: “It was a super, stimulating writing workshop for the children. It was great to get their work published straight away.”
