Truro-based Ignition, a leading provider of vehicle and asset finance for SMEs in the South West, has appointed seven new recruits to join its rapidly expanding team.

Since the company was acquired by European fund manager, STAR Capital Partners in April, Ignition has welcomed new employees across its broker division, sales and marketing and administration departments, and has appointed new associates to help boost its reach across the South West and beyond.

The new appointments include new business development manager, Edward Williams; sales and marketing manager, David Spark and Tony Holton, who is now head of broker.

Ignition’s reach across the UK has also been strengthened with the appointment of two associates - Ashley Eames and Aaron Townsend. Finally, the company has also boosted its administration department with the appointment of two senior administrators, Kim Walker and Karen Mcmonagle.

Managing director, Alan Tutte, said: “With the emergence of an ever stronger SME sector in the South West, and many businesses looking away from traditional banks to alternative finance solutions, Ignition has a real opportunity to grow and thrive.

"Businesses value our quick response times and flexible approach to their needs, and tend to return to us. The last financial year was our best year on record, but in order to build on this success it has been essential to expand and strengthen our workforce.

“Each of our seven new recruits is a welcome addition to our team at an exciting time in the growth of the business, and we are actively looking to fill a number of additional positions in the near future.”
