There’s a double 2016 celebration at Falmouth’s Merchants Manor Hotel in Cornwall – a first ever Four Star rating from the AA and the opening of a stunning £500,000+ spa and relaxation complex.

Family-run, Merchants Manor can now claim to be one of the area’s top hotels, just three years after opening under new management.

“It’s fantastic to get the AA 4* rating – we’ve all worked so hard for it,” commented Nick Rudlin who owns and runs the hotel alongside wife Sioned.

“The opening of the Linen Rooms Spa is the final part of what you might call our vision for the hotel when we bought it – the reality of our dream when we first saw it,” said Sioned.

Under Chef Director Dale McIntosh, Merchants Manor is already recognised as a destination for some of the best food and drink in the South West. The addition of spa and pool facilities elevates Merchants Manor to a position as one of the top destinations in the County.

Alongside The Linen Rooms, the existing pool area has also been completely re-developed with elegant and luxurious decor. There is a current lane in the main pool, a new hydrotherapy pool, a state-of the art steam room and both wet and dry changing areas. A new UV filtration system in pool means dramatically reduced impact of chlorine while a heat exchange system means comfort all year around.

Commenting Nick Rudlin said “It has always been our goal to provide local guest, day visitors and residents alike with a touch of luxury at a reasonable price and this latest development brings us even closer.”
