A lawyer from St Keverne who was until this week a senior solicitor at Nalder's Falmouth office, is to become a new partner with the firm from May.

Nalders has promoted from within again with the appointment of Kieran O’Sullivan as partner. This week he moved to head up the firm’s Newquay office to manage the expansion in both the commercial and residential markets in the town and surrounding area.

After growing up in St Keverne, Kieran attended Helston Community College and then went to Exeter University to study law. He returned to Cornwall to train with Nalders in 2005 and now lives on the outskirts of Truro with his wife and their two young children.

Kieran has a strong reputation in residential and commercial property transactions particularly those with an agricultural element. His clients include private companies and SMEs, property developers and investors, as well as high net worth individuals.

He is the firm's eleventh partner and the fifth property partner following the appointment of Simon Rogers last May. Kieran’s appointment forms part of the department’s strategy to expand in mid and west Cornwall.

“On a personal level, I am delighted to have been invited to join the partnership and on a professional level I know that there is an increasing demand for commercial and residential legal services in the Newquay area so there is tremendous opportunity and potential," said Kieran.

Dale Band, managing partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Kieran on board. He will play an important part in further developing our property practice and the partnership in general. He has made a substantial contribution to the firm over the years and we anticipate that he will play a significant role in the firm’s future growth, particularly given the exciting opportunities in the Newquay area.”
