West Country holiday specialists Classic Cottages have acquired Roseland Holiday Cottages which sees the company's portfolio expand by over 80 properties and cements its position as one of the leading holiday property companies in the market.

Roseland’s former owners, Leonie and Rick Ibbotson, will continue to run day-to-day operations with the back-up of digital expertise and support from Classic’s head office.

“We are thrilled to have Roseland Holiday Cottages as part of our portfolio," said Simon Tregonning, chairman of the Classic Cottages Group. "The properties are a great match for Classic – we are sure our guests will love them. We are also looking forward to working with Leonie and Rick.”

Classic, who have been in the holiday property business for 38 years, have balanced growing a company without losing the personal touch.

“Classic is still very much a family company and a huge number of our customers come back year after year," added Simon. "The personal touch is very important to us. Our team of property managers work in the field offering advice and recommendations to visitors and owners and our office based team are highly knowledgeable offering on-line and telephone back-up.”

Acquisition is part of Classic’s growth strategy and it’s working. The company now looks after almost 900 properties for owners across the South West and is always looking for more acquisition opportunities and ways to work with other agencies.
