The Falmouth Classics Association has announced the Hotel Tresanton as the first partner "day" sponsor for this year’s event, sponsored by Tilley Endurables.

The hotel will sponsor the Parade of Sail and Power and their eight metre classic yacht Pinuccia will have the honour of leading the parade on Sunday, June 19.

Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes is owned by renowned interior designer and hotelier Olga Polizzi and is one of the finest luxury boutique hotels in the UK.

Tilley Endurables are the title sponsor for the Falmouth Classics 2016, which continues to grow as an international event. More than 25,000 visitors are expected to visit Falmouth during the three day festicval from June 17 to 19, which also includes the International Sea Shanty Festival.

Henry Roberts, chairman of the Falmouth Classics Association, said: “We are delighted to have Hotel Tresanton on board for this year’s event. And having Pinuccia lead the Parade of Sail and Power will be a wonderful way to end the event.”

Karen Baxter, general manager for Hotel Tresanton, added: "This is a great opportunity for us to be a part of such a unique local event and we’re thrilled to have teamed up with the Falmouth Classics.”

Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are still available for this year’s event. This is a fantastic chance for local businesses to contribute to Falmouth Classics. Any money raised will be re-invested in order to improve the event for future years.
