Ponden Home Interiors, part of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group is investing in a new store located in Carnon Downs Garden Centre.

The company said the store will become a one stop shop for locals, and neighbours from surrounding villages in Cornwall who are looking for an extensive collection of on-trend designs for every room of the home.

To celebrate the opening of the store on Thursday, April 14, at 9am, staff will greet the first 20 customers to make a purchase in store with a goody bag containing a fragrance reed diffuser, set of two pillows, a candle and a voucher card.

The outlet will also mark its arrival in the area with an in-store competition rewarding 20 lucky visitors with a prize. The first visitors to find the golden envelopes hidden around the store will walk away with a voucher card to spend in store.

Kevin Nock, area manager for Ponden Home Interiors in Carnon Downs Garden Centre, said: “We can’t wait to open the doors of our new store and we have a host of activity planned to celebrate the launch. Customers can expect to be greeted by our friendly team who will be on hand to showcase our fantastic interiors collections.

“Ponden Home Interiors will offer locals great value, modern soft furnishings right on their doorstep.”

The new concept store will join the retailer’s existing Edinburgh Woollen Mill fashion outlet, which has been based in Carnon Downs Garden Centre for the past ten years, and will feature Ponden Home Interiors' most sought after products.

Popular items are expected to include a full bedding range showcasing its Egyptian cotton sheet collection, Ponden Home quilts, Slumberdown Big Hug Pillows, non-iron sheeting, mattress protectors, towels and ready-made curtains, as well as an elegant selection of soft furnishings and a home style gifts range.

The new Ponden Home Interiors store is also set to benefit local businesses. As part of a local incentive, the store will offer corporate customers 10 per cent off full price Ponden Home purchases when they spend over £50 encouraging business owners to shop in the area.
