Cornwall’s leading tech businesses are being given the chance to pitch their ideas to the Duke of York at the prestigious Pitch@Palace On Tour Cornwall event in October.

The Duke will be joined by business leaders, investors and judges to see pitches from leading tech businesses across Cornwall at the event at Pool Innovation Centre on October 4. Three winners from Pitch@Palace On Tour Cornwall will then go on to receive world class support, mentoring and the chance to put themselves in front of key influencers and investors at Pitch@Palace 6.0 at St James’s Palace in November.

Unlocking Potential is working with the Duke's team to organise Pitch@Palace On Tour Cornwall and are now looking for leading tech businesses to enter online at http://pitchatpalace.com/apply.

Established by the Duke of York, in less than three years Pitch@Palace has helped over 205 businesses grow, with some now enjoying huge global success.

Entries for Pitch@Palace On Tour Cornwall close on September 9, and the three winners will be invited to attend Pitch@Palace boot camp in Oxfordshire on October 14. There, they will receive world class support and guidance to help develop and sharpen their pitches before Pitch@Palace 6.0 at St. James’s Palace on November 2.

All the businesses attending Pitch@Palace boot camp will also be invited to attend Pitch@Palace 6.0, and a small selection will pitch directly to an invited audience of key investors, elevators and influencers.

Tech businesses from a wide range of sectors are invited to enter, including biotech and medical technology, consumer technology and internet of things, cybersecurity, data management and analytics, educational technology, energy and environmental technology, fintech, industrial technology, media, communications and entertainment technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality.

“Taking part in Pitch@Palace offers tech businesses the chance to showcase their talent and highlight what makes them special. Although not every business will get the opportunity to pitch at the palace, simply entering will create great exposure, invaluable networking opportunities and the chance to meet with potential investors,” said Allyson Glover, Unlocking Potential's programme director.

“There are only three regional heats taking place across the UK so it’s a real coup for Cornwall to be selected and a reflection of the depth and breadth of truly innovative tech businesses we have here. We are thrilled to be delivering this event with Pitch@Palace and would really recommend tech businesses in the county to enter."
