An Illogan hotel is one of just six nationwide to be recognised for excellent service with an award from Visit England.

The tourism trade body has revealed that the Aviary Court Hotel is one of the winners of its ROSE 2016 Award.

The family run hotel in Illogan is one of a handful of hotels across the country to receive this years award, which stands for Recognition of Service Excellence.

The ROSE 2016 Awards, presented at the Independent Hotel Show in London, are designed to showcase and award accommodation providers that have a welcoming atmosphere with commendable customer service.

Paul and Bernice Studley, Aviary Court Hotel owners said: "We are delighted that our hard work over the 31 years of running the hotel has been recognised with such a prestigious National award and we are thrilled to count many of our guest as personal friends and members of the extended Aviary Court family."

This extended family regularly returns to the three-star small hotel more than once a year to visit their second home and the Studleys.

A Visit England hotel inspector congratulated the owners: "Paul and Bernice have outstanding attention to detail, quality and service, reflected by the impressive repeat business."
