Falmouth's Verdant Brewing Company have won a top international accolade, after being rated as the Best New Brewer in the country by American website RateBeer.com.
The team at Verdant, based in the brewery on Tresidder Close, have gone from strength to strength in the past year, despite only upgrading to a full-scale brewery last summer.
Their range, including Bloom IPA at 6.5 per cent ABV, and Headband at 5.5 per cent ABV, are well known for being incredibly bold, and are currently served in pubs and bars throughout the country.
Now the team at Verdant have been rewarded for their hard work, after being labelled as the Best New Brewer in the UK by RateBeer.com
A spokesperson for Verdant, said: "This an incredible feeling to have won an international award from some of the biggest names in craft beer.
"We are still pinching ourselves.
"Considering that we opened the brewery in Falmouth just last Summer, this award is simply fantastic. Prior to this our previous set-up was just 360ltrs a week.
"It really is quite amazing, we are over the moon."
RateBeer.com is widely recognised as the most in-depth and most-visited source for beer information, and is an independent world site for craft beer enthusiasts.
