This weekend's spring sale of the Duchy Auction Company to be held at The Poly in Falmouth on Saturday, April 22, again has an eclectic mix of lots.

Among the items going under the hammer are a rare 19th century blonde loggerhead turtle shell, an equally rare Rosewood Georgian Castor Set by Jane Dorrell and Richard May, a signed Tom Chilton Racing Suit and a

rare example of a late 19th century double-sided pocket barometer and altimeter, with a separate compass attached, which was found in a cupboard during a house visit.

There are also many items of jewellery from gold rings to bracelets and necklaces, a ‘Kojak Telly Savalas’ vintage (1977) Rotary quartz VIP digital watch with original box, instructions and guarantee as well as a vintage ladies 9ct gold Rolex watch.

In the collectables section, there are many die cast cars and trucks, vintage GWR luggage labels, Meerschaum pipes, vintage cameras, 19th century Tunbridge Ware vesta cases, a circa 1960 Hornby Railways “00” scale set and more.

The sale room at the Main Gallery of The Poly in Church Street will be open for viewing from 10am until 6pm on Thursday and Friday and on Saturday morning. The auction itself starts at 11am on Saturday.
