The inaugural Mawnan Farmer's Market was such a success last month that the organisers are now making it a regular feature in the village's calendar.

Friends Sarah Bailey, of the Cornish Maid cafe, and Caroline Toland, who grew up in the village, were delighted with the response to the first market which saw 24 Cornish businesses taking part, attracting hundreds of customers.

"Stall holders were delighted with the turnout strong sales and a very positive reaction to the market," said Sarah.

The pair, who launched the venture after deciding that the "abundance of local produce and creativity" in the village needed a showcase. They have now confirmed that the second farmers' market will be held on Saturday, June 24, again at Mawnan Memorial Hall between 9am and 3pm.
