A vinyl record shop is bucking the national trend and has moved into bigger premises as business booms in Truro.
Music Nostalgia, currently based in the Pannier Market, moved to another stall just a few feet away on Saturday.
The move will provide four times as much space to allow owner Pete Willis cope with his ever-increasing customer base.
He said: “We are moving because we are bursting at the seams in our current location and have barely enough room for more than three or four customers at a time.
“We cannot display three quarters of our vinyl because of lack of space and also need much more space to display our CDs properly and expand the ranges.”
The shop sells CDs and DVDs, but it is the vinyl records which are exciting his customers.
He added: “The resurgence of vinyl is significant and very noticeable with many customers now trying to find the vinyl they had previously got rid of when compact discs came in.
“We are also seeing many teenagers and those in their twenties so excited about vinyl.
“They love the sound and also the artwork which has much more impact in comparison with CD covers.”
