Schools to be offered glimpse of the future

Leading global and national IT companies will be exhibiting at Cornwall’s first School Technology Show next month.

World leading names such as Microsoft, HP, SMART and NEC will be attending the NCI School Technology Show on Wednesday, June 20.

This unique opportunity for Schools and Colleges gives attendees the chance to try out new solutions and speak to IT experts, showing them new ways to integrate IT into the curriculum.

IT Support Company NCI Technologies are holding the free event to give local schools the opportunity to try out technologies that they wouldn’t ordinarily get the chance to see.

There will be talks from IT experts throughout the day as well as demonstrations of new products from industry leaders.

NCI Education Director Andy Trish says, “We work closely with a number of schools so we understand that resources aren’t always available to travel to large exhibitions across the UK, so we’re bringing the exhibition to them!”

“Getting the likes of Microsoft, HP and SMART in the same room in Cornwall never happens, we’re really looking forward to the event and hope that all schools will walk away with fresh ideas for using IT in the classroom.”

The School technology Show is being held at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth and will be open from 10am- 4pm to all schools and colleges across Cornwall and Devon. It is free of charge to attend.
