Broker offers party insurance

A Falmouth-based insurance broker is to offer special insurance for diamond jubilee street parties next month.

In August 2010 new guidance was issued by Eric Pickles, the Communities Secretary, which was expected to open up swathes of the country where street parties have previously been stalled by red tape.
In recent years, such celebrations have been hampered by charges levied by some councils for temporary road closures, events licenses and public liability insurance.
