New team in charge at hotel

A husband and wife team from Stafford have purchased a historic Falmouth hotel and plan to give it a luxury facelift.

Entrepreneurs Andy and Lynne Housman secured a £400,000 loan from NatWest to buy The Lerryn Hotel, on De Pass Road, which is more than 100 years old.

They will now undergo a refurbishment and rebranding programme over the coming year.

In a statement, the couple said: “We are refurbishing each room individually to create an upmarket feel, which hopefully will attract clientele that are looking for a bit of luxury.

“So far bookings for the summer season are looking very positive and we hope this continues as the refurbishment gets underway.”
