Fal River Cornwall up for travel award Fal River Cornwall up for travel award

The team behind the Fal River Festival, the Falmouth Visitor Information Centre and a number of ferry links in the area have been shortlisted for three national tourism awards.

Fal River Cornwall will be up against organisations from across the country for the title of “Best UK Waterways Boat Operator,” “Best UK Coastal Town” and “Best UK Visitor Guide” at the British Travel Awards later this year.

In order to stand a chance of winning, however, they will need to gather as many votes as possible.

Toby Budd, from Fal River, said: “Making the shortlist itself is a fantastic achievement but now we need the help of locals and visitors, as well as their votes.

“The voting process takes less than two minutes and every vote counts.

“We’re delighted to have made the shortlist for all of these awards and it’s a great testament to the hard work of the Fal River Cornwall team, from the ferrymen to our marketing team.”

Packet readers can place their votes by visiting http://www.falriver.co.uk/news/fal-river-cornwall-makes-british-travel-awards-shortlist The winner will be announced at a gala dinner in London on Thursday, November 1.
