League a two-horse race

ST Keverne and Chacewater have currently turned the Whirlwind Sports Falmouth-Helston League division one championship into a two-horse race.

Chacewater were emphatic 4-0 winners at Holmans and St Keverne, back in action after a few weeks lay-off, won 3-1 at home to Falmouth Town after scoring through Martin Williams (2, 1 pen) and Alan Thomas.

Helston faltered at St Day where they drew 0-0 and Falmouth Athletic were also held to a 1-1 draw by Stithians for whom Howard Vague scored. Martin Gallaway had Athletic's goal.

Jack Belche scored for St Agnes in their 3-1 defeat at Mousehole Res and Penryn Athletic III went down to a 2-1 defeat at home to Lizard Argyle.

Wendron III had a much-needed 2-0 win at home to Hayle III after scoring through Neil Bartlett and Sam Li.

Division two leaders Perranwell romped to a runaway 11-0 win against Wendron with Gavin Boon, Dean Jameson and Andy Senior grabbing hat-tricks and Scott Kneebone and Steve Sanger getting the other goals.

Pendeen were held to a 1-1 draw by Truro City III and Mawnan Res were held to a 0-0 draw at Rosudgeon.

Neil Evans scored for Marazion in their 1-1 draw at Constantine and Mark Rapsey and Dave Sweet scored for Frogpool/Cusgarne in their 2-2 draw with Carharrack who replied through Liam Bray and Tristan Burrows.

Trispen pulled off a fine 3-2 win againt Perranporth Res after scoring through Ben Eva, Elliot Jolly and Mark Mitchell.

Mike Cudlipp hit four goals in Falmouth Athletic Res 8-0 win against Stithians Res. Ben Mitchell, Steve Stivey and Brian Burton had the other goals.

Ben Tossell had a hat-trick in Mullion Res 6-0 win against Rosudgeon Res. Jack Jarman, Wayne Briggs and Shaun Haskell-Mills weighed in with the other goals.

Porthleven Rangers were 3-1 winners against Lanner after snapping up goals through Simon Hubbard, Steve Williams and Gary Richards. Colin Kettle replied for Lanner.

Helston III won 3-0 at home to Ruan Minor with goals from James Eddy, Mark Wood and Ben Timpson.

In the Wheatly Cobb Cup Stuart Hull scored both goals in Camborne Park's 2-0 win against Penryn Athletic IV.

In a Lockhart Cup quarter-final Mawnan and Falmouth Albion drew 3-3 after extra time with Damian Stevens (pen), Stefan Churcher and Gregg Renfree scoring for Mawnan and Albion scoring through Tom Richardson (2, 1 pen) and Ryan James.
