Two men arrested after alleged assault in Camborne
Two men have been arrested following a disturbance in Camborne today.
Officers were called to a report of an assault at around 12.15am. It was alleged that an 18-year-old man had suffered a serious injury to his nose as a result of being hit with a cricket bat.
It is thought the assault had taken place at the rear of North Parade some hours earlier.
As the officers attended the victims home address, they stop checked four people nearby, one of whom was carrying a cricket bat.
It is alleged that one of the suspects became violent and had to be restrained by officers on the ground during his arrest. The second man was also arrested at the same time.
A seventeen-year-old man from Truro is still in custody at Camborne Police Station regarding the assault.
A 29-year-old man from Camborne was later charged with causing alarm, harassment or distress and bailed to appear before West Cornwall MC on April 17.
The victim was released after being treated at hospital.
