Youngsters design tourism leaflet
 |
| Organiser Angie Butler (centre back), with poet Moira Andrew, graphic designer Dave Mynne and the youngsters who helped produce the leaflet. |
Gifted and talented children in Falmouth have been helping to create a promotional leaflet about the town they live in.
Specially selected pupils from St Francis, King Charles, Falmouth Primary, Marlborough and St Mary's primary schools met during the Easter holidays to help design and produce the leaflet about Falmouth, as part of a project organised by author Angie Butler.
Meeting at the National Maritime Museum Falmouth, the youngsters drew pictures that will be used on the leaflet, with the help of graphic designer Dave Mynne, and put together the words with help of poet Moira Andrew.
Ms Andrew said: "We're looking at the history of Falmouth, the maritime heritage and the tourist element of Falmouth. All the children were very sure they wanted to make new friends and find out more about Falmouth. It gives them something to do in the holiday and they seem to have enjoyed working here."
Once produced the leaflet will be distributed around Falmouth, providing information for visitors who can also send the leaflet to friends and relatives in postcard format.
