Falmouth and Brixham based MTS Marine and Towage Services latest tug MTS Vanguard paid a fleeting visit to the port to tow the Windsor Castle to Leith where she will be a floating hotel net to the former Royal Yacht Britannia.

The two months old MTS Vanguard is a Shoalbuster tug with a 50 ton bollard pull from the Dammen stable.

MTS managing director Jon Parslow confirmed that the tug will not be in UK waters for long. “The tug is off to Chile where she will remain for 18 months on her next contract.”
