My collection of shipping photographs of Falmouth Docks and the harbour has increased with the acquisition of the Clive Eddy Collection, writes David Barnicoat.
Clive, who worked at the docks for many years, first started taking photos of ships in the late 1960s.
His collection comprises of nearly 50 albums covering a most interesting period in the port’s history.
Now, because he is moving to a smaller property, he has decided to sell some 20,000 images.
This collection of photos, which I will use periodically on this page in the future, will be placed under the umbrella of my collection and remain intact, joining the 40,000 plus images from the late Rex Stone, which are currently being digitised.
