Marine safety seminar in Falmouth

A SPECIAL seminar looking at all aspects of marine safety will be held in Falmouth next week.

It is being organised by the Falmouth Harbour Commissioners and Falmouth Estuary Marine Safety Committee, and will take place at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall on Tuesday, May 29.

The seminar will include presentations on all aspects of marine safety, including security, commercial shipping and search and rescue.

Falmouth Harbour Master Mark Sansom said: “Safety has always been top on the list of priorities for us.

“We are keen to encourage a wide variety of recreational activities and hope that people are aware of their environment and show consideration to what is going on around them.

“The aim of the seminar is to educate water users and make them aware of the rules.

“We want everyone to enjoy the harbour and everything it has to offer, while remaining safe.”
