To mark the launch of their epic Viking Voyagers exhibition which opened on March 20, the National Maritime Museum Cornwall has a hoard of activities for the Easter holidays.

The fun starts with a Supersized Weekend on March 28 and 29, where children can create their own helmet, sword and shield, join in a Viking battle, add to a dragon art installation and meet real life Vikings.

Throughout the school holidays, from March 28 to April 12, kids will go berserk for the magnificent make and take activities, where they can become a mighty warrior or fearsome dragon.

Families can also follow the Viking Voyagers’ trail, strike their own “Eric Bloodaxe” coins and enjoy storytelling and Viking sagas.

Over the Easter weekend it’s hammer time as kids can cast their own chocolate Thor’s hammers, while every Thursday will be “Thorsday” where visitors can experience living history and meet the Norse men and women from the Viking Voyagers exhibition.
