Looking for a cracking Easter read? What about a whole festival of fantastic local literary talent? Look no further than the Helston Museum this April as it host its first literary festival.

Running from April 9 to 11, the event is filled with fascinating talks, workshops and children’s activities. Participants include Jane Moss, Rosie Kliskey, Elsie Balme, Jo Mattingly, Jak Stringer, Linda Camidge, Steph Haxton, Hilary Coleman, Sally Burley, Sue Lewington and Stephen Tyrrell who are all lined- up to give talks and lectures on a varied range of subjects. Katherine Ashton, curator said: “We are very excited about this first literature festival at the museum, and hope it will be the first of many!” Assistant curator Tracy Clowes added, “We have been inspired by the success of our “Book behind the Scenes” book club and our reads over the past year. We know that we have such great local talent and we want to showcase and celebrate more of it!”

Refreshments will be available throughout the duration of the festival.

Helston Museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm and admission is free.
