THERE’S plenty of family fun at Falmouth Art Gallery this half-term. The gallery is celebrating the Fal River Festival with some exciting Fal-themed workshops and activities.

The week begins with ‘Winnie’s wanderings’ on Saturday, May 23 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, where you can have a dabble at painting the sea and the beautiful views with the gallery’s colourful character.

This is an outdoor activity and is weather dependent. Call 01326 313863 to book a place.

Then on May 28, from 11am to 3pm, the Stamps Galore family workshop is a chance to design a stamp and send a message to a land far away on a Packet Ship. Then on May 29 at 2pm there’s Cartoon fun with Beano and Dandy artist, Nick Brennan. Meet Nick and learn the tricks of the trade while having a go at drawing pirates, smugglers and river creatures.

The final activity of the week is Smooth Criminal on May 30 from 11am to 3pm. Mysteries, adventures and characters await you as The Story Republic lead a workshop of twisted tales and discovery.

These events are free and suitable for families with children of ages. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm.
