THE Lizard National Trust are inviting youngsters to "Go Wild" this Summer and are laying on a host of activities to get them invovled. The Wild Lizard project's programmed aims to help get young children delving in to rockpools, creating wild tribes and making the most of the Lizard's natural beauty.

There is also the offer to "start a wild tribe" and join Wild Thymes forest school practitioner Megan Adams on August the 6, 10, 20, and 24 to form a wild tribe at Poltesco. In four days of learning and exploration children will reclaim the woods and the shore and discover the secrets of plant lore, build their tribes den and becoming a fire expert.

Sessions cost £8 each or £30 for all four. Price includes a drink and snack. It is suitable for unaccompanied children aged six to 11. Booking essential, call Claire Scott on 291174 for details and directions.

Then there is Seashore Shenanigans - do you know your sea squirts from your sea sponges? Ever wondered how a barnacle gets around? Then why not find out and join the Wild Lizard team every Wednesday in August down at Kennack Sands for a day of exploring rockpools and discovering who we share the shore with.

These events are free, although donations will be welcomed, and is for accompanied children only wearing good rockpooling shoes. Again, call Claire on 291174 for details and directions. The dates and times are:
