Since the theme of this year's Truro City of Lights festival is the Museum of Lost Stories, Royal Cornwall Museum are hosting lantern making workshops for the public this weekend.
The theme this year is inspired by the museum's archives and over 20 school groups have delved into them in search of Cornwall's past to gather some inspiration for their lanterns, which will be paraded on Wednesday, November 18 from 7pm.
As well as lanterns made by school and college students, lanterns by artists and members of the public are also paraded in what is the largest festival of its kind in the county.
Lantern making workshops for the public are being held this Saturday from 11am until 3pm.
