Half term is just around the corner and Cornwall's museums have plenty of fun to offer for the whole family.

Feel out of this world at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth by taking a trip to the stars in the Planetarium (Saturday 13 to Monday 15). You can also get creative with interplanetary crafts, making a moon and stars mobile and building a paper rocket (Saturday 13 to Sunday 21). On Thursday, February 18 you can meet Vikings too as the Norse men and women will be live at the museum from 12.30 to 2pm.

The Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro offers you the chance to challenge your senses at Terry Pope's 'Space Visualised' exhibition. Have a go at the illusionary puzzles and games before grabbing a free museum trail and becoming an explorer on a journey of discovering treasures and stories. There will be more fun activities around the Hub station for you to try your hand at adventure with the explorer activity backpacks. The museum is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4.45pm.

Falmouth Art Gallery's, Kith and Kin exhibition explores the influence of families and friendships in art. On show until April 16, the exhibition has work by Elizabeth and Stanhope Forbes and The Frost, Hilton and Lanyon families, to name a few. There are free drop-in workshops every Saturday from 11am to 3pm and lots more during half term, including Frost Family Mobiles on Thursday 18 and Ben Nicholson Cut-outs on Friday 19 (both from 11am to 3pm).
