Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) is celebrating its 25th anniversary with more gardens than before supporting the charity's garden trail in Cornwall.
Featuring some of the most unique gardens in the county, some of which are not normally open to the public, the gardens opening for the day include many in the Falmouth and Helston area.
One of the first gardens to open is Penjerrick Garden at Budock Water, near Falmouth. The 200-year-old garden has 15 acres of spring flowering subtropical woodland, with displays of rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias, azaleas, tree ferns and bamboos.
Opening on Thursday, March 31 from 11.30am to 4.30pm, admission to the garden costs £3 for adults and £1.50 for children over 5, with all proceeds going to CHSW.
Refreshments will be available at Penmorvah Manor Hotel, which is also supporting the charity.
Other gardens opening to support the charity include Mawnan WI Garden Safari, Mawnan Smith, on June 18; Penmorvah Manor Silver Garden Party, Falmouth, on July 3; Homestead Woodland Garden, Wendron, on July 24, and Two Quays House, Gweek, on September 17.
