Enys Gardens starts celebrating its annual Bluebell Festival with an exhibition inside Enys house, this weekend.

The exhibition gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy a diverse selection of work from some of Cornwall's emerging and established artists displayed inside the 1830s estate house in Penryn.

Visitors can view and purchase affordable art from a selection of local artists representing a wide variety of styles and techniques, all of which are created in and inspired by Cornwall.

Emma Powell-Thomas, events coordinator at Enys Gardens, said: "Many of the artists are inspired by the local landscapes. Shorelines, cliffs and even bluebells can be spotted in some of the creations, making a Cornish garden such as Enys the perfect location to share the art with the public."

The event, which takes place from Saturday, April 30 to Monday, May 2, marks the start of the annual bluebell festival, which runs through the week and finishes with the spring craft fair on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.

The gardens will be operating with extended opening hours from 11am to 5pm every day throughout the festival, which celebrates the start of the season and arrival of the bluebells.
