Celebrate the first week of the summer holidays in pirate style at the Maritime Museum's ocean outlaws week.

From July 18 to 24, 12pm to 3.30pm, children can make a pirate hat, flintlock pistol and swashbuckling booty as part of the creative craft activities in the museum.

Rattlebox Theatre will be at the museum on July 18 bringing to life the outrageous adventures of Captain Jeramiah Obedia, at 11.30am and 2pm. The practical puppet show will tell the story of the "luckiest man in England", with some sea monsters, ship battles, storms, shipwrecks, pirate swordfights and whale riding all crammed in a small puppet booth.

On July 21 at 11.30am, 12.30pm and 2pm, storyteller Mark Harandon will be unravelling a true tale of treasure and the infamous pirate it belonged to in a story inspired by a document nestled deep in the archives at Cornwall Record Office, which lists buried pirate treasure.

Ocean outlaws week will run from July 18 to 24 at the Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

All activities are free with the cost of the museum entrance ticket, unless otherwise stated.

Adult supervision is required and children can take part in one creative craft activity per day.
