Homestead Woodland Garden is opening to the public next weekend to support Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

The charity is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a garden trail, which features some of the most beautiful and unique gardens in the region, some of which are not normally open to the public.

Homestead Woodland Garden, near Wendron, Helston, will be opening its gates as part of the trail. The garden is part of a smallholding that offers shelter and habitat to wildlife, as well as being a home to chickens, ducks and geese. Various shrubs, perennials, an apple orchard, ponds, pergolas, sculptures and garden art also feature in the garden, which will be open on Sunday, July 24 from 1pm to 4pm.

Admission costs £4 for adults, and children under 14 enter for free.

All entry fees are donated to CHSW and there is a tea room on site providing refreshments.

More information and details of all gardens participating in the trail is available online at www.chsw.org.uk/garden.

Two Quays House in Gweek will also be opening as part of the trail on Saturday, September 17.
