A fun dog day and craft fair is being held in Mawnan Smith on Sunday in aid of the Last Chance Hotel.

10 dog shows will be held at the event, along with more than 20 craft stalls, games and a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.

??Entertainment at the event will be provided by local singer, Nigel Skews, and Proper Pancakes will be on site selling savoury and sweet American pancakes, as well as a selection of homemade cakes.

Dog show classes being judged on the day include the best condition, waggiest tail, most appealing eyes and best movement, and the winner of a dog portrait competition will also be chosen by the event organiser, Linda Beard, and Emma Richardson, who specialises in animal and human portraits.

There will be several companies selling specialist dog products on the day, and dog minders, trainers and groomers will also be at the event.

The fun dog day and craft fair will be held at Mawnan Smith Community Hall and Carwinion Playing Field on Sunday, July 24 from 11am to 5pm.

The event is being held to raise money for local charity, the Last Chance Hotel, which rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes ?abused & neglected animals.
